The Islamic Education Classes at Newcastle Central Mosque were started in 2003 with only one class. Alhamdulillah, now were are able to extend our academic facilities to 250 students from the local community with diverse backgrounds. We run classes from level one to level five covering various subjects such as reading the Qur'an with Tajweed, Du'aa, Tawheed, Fiqh, Seerah, Hadith, Uloom al-Hadith etc.

Our IEC involve the active participation of twenty staff members including volunteers who are trained regularly to enhance their teaching quality.
We are determined to ensure that the services offered by the school will help to create a positive Islamic environment within the local community.
Admission
Students are accepted to the school every September and parents wishing to enrol their children in the new year are advised to visit the mosque between 5-7pm on a weekday to collect the relevant application forms.
Curriculum
The curriculum taught at Newcastle Central mosque is based on 5 tiers depending on the child's age and ability. Each consecutive tier increases the child's knowledge across a range of Islamic subjects with the aim of producing well rounded and balanced views of Islam and its essential components.
