Newcastle Central Mosque currently provides services to in excess of 750 families in the region. We have hundreds more who would like to join us, but we are now constrained by our lack of facilities.
Our most popular services include:
- Prayer facilities for 500 people
- After school religious classes for 250 children
- Weekend classes for 300 children
- Awareness classes for other faiths

- Rooms for small celebrations
We feel that the time is now right for us to build on the success of recent years and to create a new mosque that will become a central facility for the whole community - a spiritual and community hub for those living and working across the north east, and beyond.
Join The Community
Regular open days give the public a better understanding of Islam and help build bridges between communities. To date there have been several organised visits to the centre from local schools, universities and professional bodies, and many more to come in the future insha-Allah.
Dispute Resolution
The Mosque is the first point of contact for advice, guidance and support on religious and personal matters for people of all ages and backgrounds. The judiciary board deals with each query individually to help find a resolution that is amicable to all parties.
Marriage Service
The Newcatle Central Mosque marriage service deals with both Islamic marriage and divorce. We have the ability to perform marriage ceremonies and host small celebrations within the mosque buildings or can travel to any other suitable location for a religious ceremony.
